In the armory, choose your outfit and rifle before deploying. Rifles have different damage, ammunition, speed and handling. Open a rifle's stats to see how it plays, including its strengths and tradeoffs. A rifle that feels right for a quick follow-up shot may behave differently from a slower, harder-hitting choice.
Read the wind and find cover
Battlefields rotate between outdoor maps with terrain, water, buildings and cover. Pay attention to your position and the wind when you line up a shot. Use cover and move deliberately: an exposed sniper is an easy target. Ammo is limited, so return to a resupply area when needed.
Practice at the Melon Patch
Want target practice before a match? Enter the Melon Patch from the armory. Choose a rifle, shoot melon targets at marked distances from 50 to 500 yards, and adjust the practice wind up to 35 mph. It is a place to get a feel for distance and scoped aiming without affecting your career stats. Players who enjoy the patient aim of hunting games can practice that kind of marksmanship here; the targets are melons.
